Beef mughlai korma


For beef:

  • Beef: 1kg(cut into medium pieces)
  • Oil: 1/4cup
  • Yogurt/curd: 1cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder: 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder: 1 tsp
  • Cardamom: 3(medium), cinnamon: 4, clove: 3, bay leaf: 2 pieces
  • Cumin powder: 1tsp(roasted)
  • Ginger paste: 1tbsp
  • garlic paste: 1/2 tbsp
  • Sugar: 1tsp


  • Chopped Onion: 1 cup
  • Whole Green chilies: 10
  • Ghee: 1/4cup
  • Chopped Garlic: 6 cloves
  • Chopped almond/nuts: 1tbsp
  • Mace: 1/4tsp
  • Nutmeg: 1/2
  • Kewra water: 1tsp


Cut the beef into medium pieces. Wash them well.
Mix the beef with all the above ingredients.
Heat a karahi and add beef pieces with spices and cook on high flame for 5 minutes. Then add 1cup water and cover and let cook on low heat until meat is tenderized (around 1 hour). Keep stirring occasionally.
Heat ghee in another pan; add onions, garlic, nutmeg, mace, almond and green chilies and fry for just 1 minute. Then pour it over the beef and mix it. Sprinkle 1tsp kewra water. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Delicious beef korma is ready. Serve hot with plain rice or pulao.
