Strawberry sweet rolls
- Flour: 4cup
- Instant yeast: 2tsp
- ½ tsp salt
- Beaten eggs: 3
- Butter: 1/3cup (room temperature)
- Sugar: 1/3 cup
- milk: ¾ cup
for cheese frosting:
- cream cheese: ½ cup
- powder sugar: 1cup
- soft butter: 1/4cup
Preparing strawberry sauce:
- fresh chopped strawberries: 2cup
- sugar: 1/2cup
Place the strawberries and sugar in a saucepan and stir until berries are totally soft and thick (like caramel). Remove and cool this mixture.
Mix 3 cup flour, yeast and salt in a big bowl.
Heat milk, sugar and butter until butter is melted. pour this mixture over the flour mixture and mix well. Add eggs and whisk well using flour beater or spatula.
Transfer this mixture into a flour surface and knead it well using 1 cup flour. This dough should be soft, elastic and smooth but not sticky.
Place the dough in a large oil-dusted bowl. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and place in a warm room (or in a warm oven) for about 2 hours until the dough has doubled in size.
Once rise, knead the dough for a minute before rolling.
Dust the dough in flour and roll it out into a rectangular shape of about quarter inch thickness.
Spread the strawberry sauce evenly over the dough.
Then from one end, roll the dough with the filling. Seal the edges tightly.
Cut the logs into 15 portions.
Place all rolls (give space for rising) on your greased baking tray. Again cover the tray and let them rise slightly for about 30 minutes.
In a preheated oven, Bake the rolls at 350° for 25 minutes or until golden in color.
Grease pan with oil. place rolls inside the pan.
Heat large bowl on stove top to medium.
Place pan inside large bowl and cover the bowl. cook on low heat for 15 mintues.
If they are golden brown, take a spatula and flip the entire pan over in the bowl.cook another 10 minutes on low flame.rolls are ready.
beat butter, cheese and powder sugar until smooth. Frost over the warm strawberry rolls.
