Beef karahi


Beef karahi (বিফ কড়াই) :


1. Beef: 1kg(cut into medium pieces)
2. Tomato: ½ kg(cut into small pieces)
3. Oil: ½ cup
4. Yogurt: 2tbsp
5. Fried Onion(beresta): ¼ cup
6. Green chilies: 10(finely chopped)
7. Salt to taste
8. Red chili powder: 1tbsp
9. Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
10. Ginger paste: 3 tea spoons
11. garlic paste: 2 tea spoons
12. Coriander powder: 1 tsp
13. Cardamom: 2(medium)
14. Garam masala powder: 1tsp
15. Cumin powder: 1tsp(roasted)
16. Coriander leaves: 2 tbsp(chopped)



Cut the beef into medium pieces. Wash them well and put them in a strainer.
Heat the karahi and pour oil in it and add beef, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric powder and red chili powder. Mix and cover and let cook on low heat until meat is tenderized. Don’t use any water.
Add fried onion, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, garam masala powder and yogurt.
Let it cook. When the yogurt dries up, Add tomato pieces and cook for 10 minutes or until all liquid dries up.
Add coriander leaves and green chilies. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Delicious beef karahi is ready.
Serve with Roti/Naan or Boiled or fried rice and Salad.
