Shami kabab


  • Beef keema/minced beef : 500mg
    • cholar dal/chinar lentils: 1/2cup(soaked in water for at least 4hours)
    • Ginger paste: 1tbsp
    • Garlic paste: 1tbsp
    • Cardamom 2+ Cinnamon 2 sticks+ clove 2
    • Cumin powder: 1tsp
    • Coriander powder: 1tsp
    • Red chili powder: 1tsp
    • Chopped green chilies: 2
    • chopped onion: 1/4cup
In a pressure cooker or bowl, add all above the ingredients and ½ cup water.
cook the whole mixture until the beef keema gets tender or for about 4 whistles on low flame. If any water lefts, dry out all water. let it cool.
Now make fine paste of keema mixtre using food processor or not use water, mixture should be dry.

Preparing kabab

  • Fried Onion (Beresta): 1/4 Cup(grind using hand)
  • Egg : 1 beaten
  • Chopped Coriander leaves: 2tbsp
  •  Chopped mint leaves: 2tbsp
  • lemon juice: 1tbsp
Add all above the ingredients with cooked keema mixture and mix well.


Make round shape kabab and refrigerate it for 30 minutes.
Heat 1/2cup oil in a frying pan and shallow fry the kabab until golden brown.
Serve yummy kabab with polau, biryani or sauce.
