Chinese Shredded beef


Chinese Shredded beef:


Beef marinade:

  • beef: 250mg(cut into 3 inch long thin strips)
  • corn flour: 1/4cup
  • ginger garlic paste: 1tsp each
  • salt : 1/2tsp
  • egg: 1 (beaten)


  • chopped garlic: 1tsp
  • Spring onion: 1/4cup(sliced into strips)
  • Carrot: 1cup (half boiled and sliced into long strips)
  • dry Red chilies: 4(cut into chunks)
  • tomato ketchup: 4tbsp
  • Soya sauce: 1tbsp
  • chili sauce: 1tbsp
  • vinegar: 1tbsp
  • lemon juice: 1tbsp
  • Sugar: 2tbsp
  • corn flour: 1tsp
  • beef stock or water: 1/4cup
  • sesame oil or butter: 2tbsp


Mix all the marinade ingredients and set aside for 30 minutes.
Deep fry beef pieces (7-10 mins) until crispy and brown.
In a frying pan, add oil and garlic and stir fry for a few seconds. Add spring onions, carrot slices red chilies and stir fry for one minute.
Add the beef pieces and stir fry for 1-2 minutes, then add the beef stock, corn flour, lemon juice, vinegar and all sauces. Simmer for another minute.
Add sugar to taste and transfer to a serving dish.
Serve immediately.
