Dry fruits ladoo


  • Chopped date: 1cup(seedless)
  • Chopped dry coconut: 1/2cup
  • Chopped almond:1/2cup
  • Chopped cashew: 1/2cup
  • Chopped pistachio: 1/2cup
  • Chopped raisins: 1/4cup
  • Jaggery (khejur gur): 1/2cup
  • Ghee: 1/4cup
  • Poppy seeds: 2tbsp
  • Cardamom and nutmeg powder: 1/4tsp each


Heat 2tbsp ghee in a pan, add chopped dry coconut and fry for a minute. now add cashew, almond, pistachio and fry until just golden. remove from pan and let it cool.



Now in a food processor coarsely grind (not fine) the fried nuts and coconut. Set aside.
Heat 1tbsp ghee in a pan, add poppy seeds and fry until they pop. Remove from pan and set aside.
Heat remaining ghee in the same pan, add chopped dates and raisins and fry for just 2 minutes. take out and grind it in a fine paste.
Now mix all nuts mixture, poppy seeds, date and raisin paste and cardamom and nutmeg powder in a big bowl. set aside.
Heat jaggery and 1/4cup water in a bowl. Cook until form a syrup.


Then immediately pour this syrup over nuts mixture and mix it.
Make balls when it is still warm.
Store in an airtight jar. Ii can be stored for a month.
