Green masala chicken:

Preparing green paste:


  • green chilies: 5(or more as your taste)
  • Lemon juice: 2tbsp
  • Coriander leaves: 1cup
  • Mint leaves: 2tbsp(optional)
  • Curry leaves: 2tbsp(optional)
  • Thick coconut milk or yogurt(as your taste): 1/2cup
  • Fried onions(beresta): 1/2cup
In a blender, add all above the ingredients and blend until smooth. Set aside.

Preparing chicken:


  • Chicken (around 1.5 kg): 1 (wash, cut into 12 pieces)
  • Oil: 1/2cup
  • Whole garam masala: cinnamon 2, cardamom 4, clove 3, bay leaves 1
  • Roasted Cumin and Coriander powder: 1tsp each
  • Ginger garlic paste: 1tbsp each
Heat oil in a pan, add whole garam masala, ginger garlic paste and chicken pieces and mix well. Fry on high flame until water completely dries up.
Now add green masala paste and Keep stirring until everything mix well. Then add coriander and cumin powder and mix well. Cover and cook on low flame for 15 minutes or until chicken tender (do not use any water). Turn off the heat and serve hot with naan, raita or plain rice.
