If the chicken pieces are in very big size cut them in to medium size pieces and put them in a bowl.
Heat the saucepan and pour oil in it and add 2 bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and chopped onions and fry it till it changes to golden brown color. Add tomato pieces and fry it till it totally soft.
Then add onion paste, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin paste, salt to taste, turmeric powder, red chili powder and 1/4cup water. Mix them well. Cook it for 5 minutes until mixing all the ingredients properly and oil separates. Stir occasionally.
Then add the chicken pieces, mix them well and cook on medium flame till chicken is tender (20 minutes).
Sprinkle sugar and green chilies and simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve with Roti/Naan or Boiled or fried rice and Salad.
