Chicken karahi:


  1. Chicken 1kg
  2. Tomato: ½ kg(cut into small pieces)
  3. Oil: 4 table spoons
  4. Yogurt: 2tbsp
  5. Onions paste: ¼ cup
  6. Green chilies: 4
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Red chili powder: 2 tea spoons
  9. Turmeric powder: 1 tea spoon
  10. Ginger paste: 3 tea spoons
  11. garlic paste: 2 tea spoons
  12. Bay leaves: 2
  13. Coriander powder: 1 tsp
  14. Cloves: 4
  15. Cardamom: 2(medium)
  16. Cinnamon: 2 sticks
  17. Capsicum: 1(cut into cubes)
  18. Finely chopped ginger: 1tsp
  19. Coriander leaves: 1tbsp



Cut the chicken into medium pieces.Wash them well and put them in a strainer.
Heat the saucepan and pour oil in it and add 2 bay leaves, , cinnamon, cardamom and cloves and fry it. Add tomato pieces and fry it till it totally soft (4 minutes).
Then add onion paste, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin paste. Add ¼ cup water, 1 tsp salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder and mix them well. Cook it for 5 minutes until mixing all the ingredients properly and oil separates.
Then add the chicken pieces and cook on low flame till chicken is tender (20 minutes).
Add capsicum and green chilies and simmer for 5 minutes.
Delicious Chicken Curry is ready.
Garnish with coriander leaves and chopped ginger.
Serve with Roti/Naan or Boiled or fried rice and Salad.
