Fried tikka shashlik


  • Chicken breasts: 2(cut into cubes)
  • Capsicum, tomato and onion: 1 , 2 and 2 (all vegetables cut into square cubes)
  • Tomato sauce: 2tbsp
  • Lemon juice: 2tbsp
  • Yogurt: 2tbsp
  • Tikka masala: 2tbsp
  • Red chili and black pepper powder: 1tsp each
  • Beaten egg: 1
  • Corn flour: 2tbsp
  • Breadcrumbs and oil for frying


In a bowl, mix together tomato sauce, lemon juice and yogurt, tikka masala, pepper powder, egg and corn flour. Add chicken and all vegetables with the masala and mix well. cover and leave to marinate for 2-3 hours.
thread chicken cubes onto skewers alternating with vegetables.
roll them in breadcrumbs and deep fry on medium heat till chicken tender and golden brown.
Serve hot.
