Chicken fry


Chicken fry:

Preparing marinating:


• Chicken with skin: 8 pieces
• Curd or lemon juice: 1tbsp
• Meat tenderizer powder: 1tsp(optional)
• Paprika or Red chili powder: 1tsp
• Black pepper: 1tsp
• soy sauce: 1tbsp
• Chili sauce: 2tbsp
• Corn flour: 2tbsp
• Salt: 1tsp

Mix all the ingredients with chicken pieces and marinate it for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.

Preparing batter for coating:


• Flour: 3/4cup
• Corn flour: 3tbsp
• Baking powder: 1tsp
• Salt: 1tsp
• white pepper: 1tsp
• oregano: 1tsp(optional)
• Soya sauce: 1tbsp
• Chili sauce: 2tbsp
• Lemon juice: 1tbsp

Mix all the ingredients and add chilled water to make thick batter.

Preparing coating:


• Corn flakes: 2cup
• Chips: 2cup
• Bread crumbs: 1cup
• Enough Oil for deep frying

Mix all the dry ingredients & grind all coarsely (not in powdered form).

Preparing chicken fry:

Steam marinated chicken for 10 minutes.
Put dry coating ingredients in a plastic bag.
Heat the oil in a large skillet until it shimmers but doesn’t smoke.
Take a piece of chicken and dip it into the batter and then place it into the plastic bag (shake it well).
Now deep fry the chicken in a slow fire till it is cooked.
For thick coating again dip in batter and coat in prepared coating now fry again (optional).
Enjoy with sauce or fried rice.
