Pizza cake:

This is the most delicious and gorgeous pizza that i have ever baked.

Ingredients:

• Grated mozzarella cheese: 1 ½ cup
• Ketchup:1tbsp
• Capsicum: ½ cup chopped
• you can add any filling like beef or chicken(optional)
• A 9-inch cake pan(spring-form pan is better)

For dough:

• All purpose flour: 4cup
• Instant yeast: 3tsp
• Sugar: 2tbsp
• Salt: 2 tsp
• Milk powder: 1/4cup
• Oil: 5tbsp
• Warm water as needed

For pizza sauce:(it’s optional , you can use tomato sauce)

  • tomato paste: ½ cup
  • tomato sauce: ½ cup
  • dried oregano:1 tsp
  • sugar:1tsp
  • paprika:1tsp
  • garlic: 1tbsp(finely chopped)
  • red chili flakes: 1tsp
  • butter:1tbsp

 

Instructions:

Preparing sauce:

Heat butter in a bowl on medium flame, add garlic and stir well. Now add tomato paste, tomato sauce, paprika and red chili flakes and stir to combine.
Add oregano, salt and sugar. Cook on low flame for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and set aside.

Preparing pizza crust:

In a bowl, add flour, sugar, salt, milk powder and yeast.mix very well.
Add oil and mix it. Now slowly add warm water to the flour mixer. Knead it well and make soft dough. Knead until you have smooth, springy dough.
Place the ball of dough in a large flour-dusted bowl. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and place in a warm room (or in a warm oven) for about 1 hour until the dough has doubled in size.
 Once rise, divide the dough into 2 portions (One big portion and one small portion).
Take the big portion and Roll out the dough using flour. Cut out four circles wide enough to fit the tall cake pan you plan to use. (Two circles will be the bottom and top layers, and the remaining two will go in the middle of your pizza cake.)

 Preheat oven to 400 F and bake the layers in batches for 5 minutes. (Partially baked)

 Now take small portion of the dough and roll out a long rectangular shape. Cut long strip of dough at least 1/2 inch wider than height of pan.
Carefully drape long strip of dough around inside edge of pan to line, leaving 1/2 inch hanging over outside edge of pan and bottom of pan open. Pinch seam to seal.

Assemble:

Carefully place 1 partially baked crust round in bottom of pan.
Spread pizza sauce over crust; top with capsicum slices and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese (when cheese melts, crust above will stick to it).
Repeat to make 3 more layers. For top layer, place last crust over cheese; sprinkle with remaining cheese on top.

Bake for 20 minutes at 400 F. Once completely baked, cool it for 10 minutes. Remove pizza cake from pan.
